Creating Course Playlists in Classical Music Library and in Naxos

You may choose to provide course listening assignments in a number of ways – through library course reserves, linking recordings directly to your course website on WebCT or Blackboard, or by creating playlists from one of our two streaming audio services.

Creating a Playlist on Naxos Music Library

You may create your own playlist using the instructions below or request that the library create your playlist for you by completing the Audio E-Reserves Request Form.

  1. Obtain faculty login from the Performing Arts and Media Department .
  2. Search for the music you want to include in the playlist.
  3. Select the tracks you desire and click on “Add to playlist” on the Naxos player.
  4. Select the name of an existing playlist or create a new playlist name at the prompt.  Please name your playlist using your initials and course name or number.

Please note that the edit playlist functions do not work consistently in all browsers; therefore, you may wish to plan your selection order prior to adding them into your playlist.

Old playlists may be deleted in the playlist folder using the Delete function.

Folders on Classical Music Library

While Classical Music Library allows for individuals to create playlists, those playlists are not available to other users.  If you would like to have a course folder created for you from your playlist selections, please complete the Audio E-Reserves Request Form.
