Files concern the establishment, early history, organization, administration, and reorganization of CU and include materials associated with general CU program policies, procedures, guidelines, plans, and CU's coordinating function.  Other materials pertain to CU reorganization plans of 1953 and 1962.  (See Series 5 of this group for CU-USIA liaison of 1978.)  Included also are minutes of the General Advisory Committee of the Division of Cultural Relations, 1940-1943; minutes of the Interagency Council, 1964-1968; and briefing papers of the Council on International Educational and Cultural Affairs.  Other files concern the U.S. Information Agency, including a history by Murray G.
