Manuscript Collection 916
The Fayetteville Council of Garden Clubs is a non-profit civic and educational
organization which coordinates the garden clubs of Fayetteville, Washington
County, Arkansas, protects and conserves natural resources, and encourages
civic beauty and roadside beautification.
The records contain the council's constitutions, minutes, and scrapbooks. One scrapbook, entitled Over the Rainbow, was entered into the Rose Rosette City Council Flower Show on May 12, 1964, and includes narratives, clippings, photographs, and samples of material. The supplementary papers to this collection were donated to the Special Collections Division by Sue Madison, Fayetteville, Arkansas, on May 6, 1992. They contain correspondence, minutes of the meetings, pamphlets, nine issues of The Arkansas Gardener, newspaper clippings, two photographs, and two financial record books.
