to foreign affairs, including the Middle East, the former Soviet Union, and
China. Other subjects are U.S.-Japanese relations, Alexander Solzhenitsyn, arms
race, psychological aspects of foreign policy, Joseph R. McCarthy, Dwight D.
Eisenhower, Radio Free Europe, Radio Liberty, Carter Administration, Nicaragua,
Lend-Lease settlement between the United States and the former Soviet Union,
glasnost, and the parliamentary systems. Files include Fulbright memoranda to
Gerald Ford, Henry Kissinger, and Jimmy Carter regarding a proposed political
settlement in the Middle East. Included also are congressional papers concerning
Nikita Khrushchev, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Bernard Fall, Foreign Relations
Committee hearings of 1966 and 1969 on the psychological aspects of international
