ELIZABETH PAISLEY HUCKABY

Elizabeth Paisley Huckaby was associated with Central High School in Little Rock for thirty nine years. She began her career at Central High School as an English teacher in 1930 and in 1954 assumed the additional responsibility of Vice Principal for Girls.

During the first year of integration at Central High School, 1957-1958, Huckaby devoted most of her time to administrative responsibilities. The journals, correspondence, notes, school bulletins, memoranda, reports, interview transcripts, programs, school handbook, school directories and other material in this collection were created or collected by Mrs. Huckaby in the course of her administrative duties or as the result of her personal experiences during the academic year 1957-1958.
