Series 8. Negatives(in Special Collections Negatives Storage).

Hudgins originally had two files of negatives, one of them apparently assembled for illustrations for her articles, the other labeled "Tozy Brandenburg Negatives, 1950s to 1960s." Many of the negatives in both groups could be matched to prints in the collection. These negatives are restricted. The negatives that could not be matched to prints, however, may be examined by researchers so long as they are kept in their protective sleeves.

Subseries 1. Hudgins negatives.

The arrangement by Hudgins has been generally left intact. Negatives are in alphabetical order by the original subject headings. It should be noted that some of the original subject headings may be misleading: nearly 200 "Baseball" negatives, and about 25 "Boxers" were of the athletes and their families playing golf in the mid-1930s (these in addition to some 60 "Golf" negatives).

The negatives are in Special Collections Negatives Storage by the following subject headings:

Subseries 2. Tozy Brandenburg negatives.

The original arrangement has been left intact. Tozy Brandenburg (sometimes spelled Brandenberg) was probably Charles William Brandenburg, Jr., a commercial pilot and free-lance photographer, son of C. W. Brandenburg, Sr., owner of Brandenburg Cleaners, Hot Springs.

Dates, subject, or other information was written on many of the negative envelopes; such information has been copied to negative sleeve labels. The negatives are in Special Collections Negatives Box 4, by the following subject headings:
