Enabling Javascript

Older versions of Netscape and Internet Explorer may not have Javascript enabled. Many Web sites (including this one) require that your browser have Javascript enabled in order to take advantage of search or other functions.

If you are using an older browser (Netscape 6 or earlier, Internet Explorer 4 or earlier), we recommend that you upgrade to a fully standards-compliant version. The list below is not exhaustive, but provides links to download recent versions of popular browsers:

If you must use an older browser, you may still be able to enable Javascript for enhanced functionality. To enable Javascript:

In Netscape

  1. Click Edit
  2. Click Preferences
  3. Expand Advanced
  4. Check the box next to "Enable Javascript"

In Internet Explorer

  1. Click Tools
  2. Click Internet Options
  3. Click Security
  4. Click Custom Settings
  5. Scroll down to Scripting
  6. Click Enable, then OK
