Remote Access Through our Proxy Server
About the Libraries' Proxy Server
When you click on a link to one of our databases or ejournals from off campus, the Libraries' proxy server will authenticate you as a current student, faculty, or staff member.
To access licensed resources through the proxy server, you must either:
- Use your UARK username and password. This is the same username and password that you currently use for email, campus computing labs, BlackBoard, ISIS, and other campus systems.
- OR -
- Be registered with the Libraries as an affiliated faculty or staff member and have a nine-digit UA ID Number. This access method is generally used by affiliated faculty and staff such as Agriculture Extension Service / Experiment Station researchers or, occasionally, by continuing students.
Only current students, faculty, and staff may access licensed resources remotely. See the Remote Access Policy.
Your Library Account
You can verify your status in the library system by Viewing your Own Library Record.

Links and Bookmarks
In order to authenticate you as a current student, faculty, or staff member, your connection to a library resource needs to be routed through the library's proxy server. Use links on our web site or from the library catalog; don't use bookmarks or try to navigate to resources directly on the web.
