Human Library

Everyone has a story. Don’t judge a book by its cover.

From April 5-6, 2012, the Student Ombuds Services (SOS), International Students and Scholars (ISS), and University Libraries’ Diversity Committee are co-hosting human library sessions. (For more information about the Human Library, visit our FAQ page). The sessions will take place on the following days:

Thursday, April 5 from 10:00AM - 6:00PM
Friday, April 6 from 10:00AM - 6:00PM

All readings occur in the Holcombe Hall Living Room.
Reading appointments required for participation.

The titles vary from year to year. This semester we are proud to offer some new titles as well as past favorites! Check out the full listing here.
You can schedule your 45-minute “reading” appointment directly from the catalog.
DiversityNote — The Books are all volunteers. Their schedules will vary; please take note of their availability when requesting an appointment.  All appointments are scheduled on the hour (i.e. 1:00PM, 2:00PM, etc.).

Registration will begin on March 5. The last day to reserve a book will be Friday, March 30.

“Librarians” (representatives from the Ombuds and ISS offices) will be on site to ensure a pleasant experience, and that Books are returned in good condition. Light refreshments will be served.
