- The Library's workforce includes 233 total employees (63% female; 79% Caucasian). Of these, 25 are members of the faculty (22% male; 6% African-American, 6% Asian/Pacific Islander, 3% Hispanic, 3% Non-Resident Alien).
University
- The University's workforce includes 849 faculty (35% women) to serve almost 18,000 students, of whom 20% are graduate students, 19% are out-state students, 12% are members of minority groups, 5% are international students, and 49.5% are women.
Fayetteville, Arkansas
- Located in northwest Arkansas, Fayetteville, the home of the University, has consistently received high rankings: by the Milken Institute&39;s Best Performing Cities (8th in 2005), by Forbes' Best Places (7th in 2005), by Business Development Outlook (27th in 2006 for quality of life); by Inc. Magazine (3rd for best mid-sized cities for doing business). With a population of over 68,000, Fayetteville residents are ethnically diverse (16% are members of minority groups), young (median age is 27), and enjoy a cost of living 10% below the national average. Situated in the Ozark Mountains with a four-season climate and 220 days of sunny weather, Fayetteville and the surrounding area offer numerous cultural activities and outdoor recreational opportunities.
