Note that the Libraries do not subscribe to current issues of all the journals on HighWire. In many cases, only articles from previous years will be available to you full-text.
Highwire is actually composed of several dozen interlinked sites. Don't be confused if you conduct a general HighWire search and end up on the Science or PNAS sites.
There are several Highwire alerts options, including eTOC (table of contents) and CiteTrack.

  1. First-time users will need to register by creating a free account; return users must Sign in to update or add alerts.
  2. After signing in, click the tab for Alerts.
    1. eTOC Alerts
      1. To add an eTOC alert, click the "add" button under the option "My eTOCs."
      2. Check the TOC box next to the journal(s) you wish to monitor, and then check the "Update eTOC alerts."
        • TOC are the table of contents for published issues. Checking "Full TOC" means that you will receive a complete table of contents list for each issue as it is published. Checking "Notify Only" means that you will receive only a notice that the issue has been published.
        • Future TOC are notices regarding forthcoming issues (selected journals only).
        • Publication ahead of print will alert you to articles published online before the print issue is available (selected journals only).
        • Announcements means that you want to receive news updates from the journal (selected journals only).
      My Citetrack
