Documents Processing Unit

The mission of the Documents Processing Unit is to provide quick, accurate, and free access to all publications distributed to depository libraries through the Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP). Our goal is to support the academic programs of the University of Arkansas, but as a depository library in the FDLP, we also serve the general public user at both state and federal levels. To accomplish our mission, we approach our goals with three broad categories always in mind:

• Materials shipped from the Government Printing Office (GPO) and the Arkansas State Depository are processed immediately upon receipt to provide quick and accurate access for academic and public users.
• Materials received over the previous decades are barcoded and catalog records are accurately maintained to allow users to search for government documents using our Infolinks catalog.
• All processing, cataloging, and public assistance is conducted within the federally mandated guidelines provided by the FDLP.
