"Over Here! The American Home Front" - From the collection of the Liberty Memorial Museum and the U of A Special Collections
n conjunction with the Libraries' Memorial Day event on May 14 relating to the home front during World War I, Doran Cart, curator of the Liberty Memorial Museum of Kansas City (the only national museum commemorating World War I), has mounted an exhibit in Mullins Library of World War I artifacts and other materials from the Liberty Memorial collections. The Libraries' own Special Collections has complemented these materials with original letters from Arkansas soldiers fighting the war abroad. Some objects included in the exhibit include training uniforms and soldiers' personal equipment, personal albums, a variety of memorabilia, as well as a model and photographs of the Liberty Memorial Museum.
