The Guide to Federal Records in the National Archives of the United States (Also in Ref at CD3026 1995) provides a catalog of all National Archives record groups, provided information about each group's organization and dates of coverage, what portions have been microfilmed, and any published indexes or finding aids.
The Microfilm Publications Catalog (also in Ref at CD3026 1996) is a searchable database of the 3400+ items that have been filmed to date. Search by keyword, record group number, or other criteria.
