Biographical Note

Theodore E. Alund was born March 25, 1913 in Cook County, Illinois to Edward F. Alund and Ruth Westergren Alund. Alund had one brother, George, and was married to Isabella Alexander. From September 11, 1937 to September 18, 1937, Alund went on a 2000 mile vacation through Arkansas with another man, only identified as Davis, and two unidentified women. Stops included Bloomington, Illinois; the Mississippi River; Fayetteville, Arkansas; the Ozark Mountains; Fort Smith, Arkansas; Hot Springs, Arkansas; and Little Rock, Arkansas. Alund died at the age of 77 on November 12, 1990 and is buried in Irving Park Cemetery in Chicago, Illinois.
