About
the Fayetteville Wastewater Management Study
As
a result of the Clean Water Acts of 1972 and 1977, and Fayetteville's
burgeoning wastewater problem, the Fayetteville Board of Directors

wastewater management alternatives. In 1980 the Citizens Advisory
Committee recommended that sewage be discharged into the White
River, the Illinois River, the White and Illinois Rivers,
or the Arkansas River.
