This series is divided into three subseries. The first subseries consists of artifacts. The second subseries
consists of oversize materials from Series 1-7. The third subseries consists of scrapbooks.

Subseries 2. Oversize Materials
This subseries includes oversize materials from Series 1-7 of this collection. The Winthrop
Rockefeller materials (Box 63, Folder 3) are issues of the WR Campaigner. Correspondence
(Box 63, Folder 8) includes a letter concerning the levy of troops for the War of 1812. Materials
on Wittsburg are in same folder (Box 63, Folder 10) as materials on Cross County. The
miscellaneous folder (Box 66, Folder 6) includes the diplomas Lula E. Cox (Galloway Female
College, Searcy, 1915) and Palmer Danaher (Peabody High School, Little Rock, 1895). The
newspaper clippings (Oversize Folder 2, Folder 3) consists of a clipping on the activities of the
Georgia Colonization Company in Arkansas in 1894; and a clipping from an unidentified Pine
Bluff newspaper which includes articles on the city council, Reverend J.C. Battle, the Nobles
of Mystic Shrine, and the “colored Grand Lodge of K. of P.”

condition. Efforts have been made to treat documents for mold, and to remove hazardous metal fastenings

Subseries 3. Scrapbooks
This series consists of scrapbooks, several of unknown origins. The Bailey-Miller scrapbook
includes clippings on the 1937 senatorial election following the death of Senator Joseph T.
Robinson. The Barlow scrapbook focuses on the activities of Dr. M.J. Barlow. The Civil War
scrapbook features historical newspaper articles from the 1960s, especially the war in Saline
County. The two Mary Fortner scrapbooks include materials on Arkansas History, including
Walt Lemke’s “Men Who Made Arkansas History” column, as well as materials concerning the
1936 visit of President Franklin D. Roosevelt to Arkansas. The Garland School scrapbook
focuses on the activities of the local and state parent-teachers associations. The Little Rock
historic buildings scrapbooks includes newspaper articles focusing on this topic. The McCaskill
scrapbook includes clippings on the death of Joe T. Robinson. The newspaper misprints
scrapbook collects various humorous misspellings in newspaper articles. The Perfect Woman is
a manners book converted into a scrapbook; it contains miscellaneous clippings and poems.
The Pine Bluff city improvement scrapbook contains information on the development of that
city. The Walker scrapbook features information on the Walker and Woods families, as well as
articles related to Confederate soldiers and veterans organizations.
