Group I. Early Political Career and Gubernatorial Papers (Boxes 1-99c)
Group I consists of materials dating from 1960 to 1978. They are related to
David Pryor’s work as with the Ouachita Citizen, a state representative,
and United States congressman, and governor of Arkansas. Also included are materials
related to his 1972 senatorial campaign and the period 1973-1974. Materials
related to his 1978 senatorial campaign are in Group II, Series 1. Scrapbooks
and newspaper clippings dating from Senator Pryor’s tenure as governor
are located in Group III, Series 3; photographs and audio-visual materials from
this period are located in Group IV, Series 1 and 2.
