Subseries 15. Military Academy Nominees and Academy Files–Restricted

Materials in this subseries are restricted as per donor agreement. The Military Academy files are arranged chronologically by year and alphabetically by applicant's last name. The individual files contain standard application forms/materials, correspondence between the applicant and Senator Pryor regarding nominations, reference letters, high school grade transcripts, ACT and SAT scores, academy letters of acceptance, etc. The original arrangement of the files was not consistent year by year. Some years were divided as David Pryor's Nominees, Appointments, and Nominees of other delegation members, e.g. Senator Bumpers, Representative Hammerschmidt, etc. However, in several years the files were grouped only under the heading David Pryor's Nominees. Because the names of the appointees could not be determined, all the Nominees files were kept intact. Restricted materials may NOT be accessed.
