Subseries 3. Congressional Nursing Home Investigation, ca. 1970-1971

This subseries consists of three scrapbooks, two of which document David Pryor’s investigation of nursing home abuses. The third scrapbook was compiled by Mary Allen Austin of Charlotte, North Carolina, and documents the abuses by the medical system suffered by her elderly parents in the mid-1960s; because of its personal nature, it is restricted per donor agreement. Restricted materials may NOT be accessed.

Subseries 4. Miscellaneous Artifacts

This subseries contains a wide variety of items, including artist prints, posters, banners, flags, framed items, statuettes, ceramic items, shoes, hats, computer disks, a cannon shell, footballs, and a basketball. Many of these items were gifts to David Pryor. In addition to materials relating to Pryor, they include items related to the campaigns of other political figures, among them a Bumpers for President pin. Also included are various Arkansiana and items related to the United States Bicentennial celebration in 1976. One football was signed by the 1972 Razorback football team, while the basketball was signed by the 1994 national champion Razorback basketball team. The artists prints are autographed by the artist and inscribed by the presenter.
