| Computer Problems / Requests Report Procedure |
To report
problems and/or request maintenance for computers and/or networks
in the libraries, please to follow the procedures listed below:
- In
general, all problems and/or maintenance requests for computers, networks
and related matters are reported through the Web-based Computer
Problem Report Form which is on the Library
StaffWeb page (left column, Systems
Problems), with a generic login name and password (ask Systems
for login name and password). This form, with the generic login account
and password, is only for internal library staff use.
- Call
the Systems Emergency Help Number (575-7990 or, pager
856-5310) for system emergency requests or problems,
such as:
-
InfoLinks/Millennium system down;
- Network
server(s) down (the entire library cannot access local area network
server, ILLIAD, or Library Web);
- Network
access down (the whole network inaccessible);
- Computer
problems in on-going classes in the computer classroom or instruction
room(s);
- Computer
virus as affect computer(s);
- Public
printers (Yoda and/or Obi Wan) are out of order.

request purchase/installation of new equipment, including computers
