Re: 4906. When trying to login using the generic account on CHEMCIRC-01,02 we get the message "The local policy does not allow this user to login interactively" or somesuch. We are using my login for circulation activities. |

This morning I can't connect to the internet to check email and don't know whether it is related to the problems I continue to have with Trojan Horse viruses and Downloaders attempting to get thru the Symantec antivirus software. Last Thurs. 10 TH cleaned by deletion. Last Fri. 6 TH, 2 Downloaders cleaned by deletion. Over the weekend 17 Trojan Horse.vundo viruses cleaned by deletion. I am still getting programs that are trying to load and pop-ups for sketchy sites. |

Symantec has reported 5 or 6 Trojan viruses that have tried to load on to my computer today. This has never happened before. After the issue with my email (which has been mostly resolved although I am still getting a few "undeliverable" emails), I am concerned. |

I am having a real problem with my scanner. Not only will it not scan in color, it also is giving a poor scan in black and white. There is very little gray-scale if any. This is very important. I have electronic reserves to scan and the images are the most important thing for a lot of my requests. I will receive more electronic reserve requests as the first day of class approaches. It is very important that I complete these requests so that the faculty can proceed with their lesson plans and not send in complaints.

While searching the internet for "Arkansas mathematics and science centers" using google, I clicked on a link that was opening new windows on its own even when I tried to close them. It seemed to want to download things onto the computer. I called earlier about getting a message when logging on this morning about a "corrupt local profile" and was advised to wait till tomorrow to see if it was a connectivity issue. Cicero Serials is slower than usual. When printing multiple pages, it has to pause between each page. Any solution? |

Printing a PDF file is always a slow process, it is not indicative of a problem with the print server or the printer. PDFs just take awhile to process. |

Lately my pc has been hanging up when I have more than one browser window open. I have to reboot five or six times a day. Not urgent but very annoying. |

I can't make labels. When I open wordperfect and try to access my templete for making labels I get a message Window Delayed Write Failed message. I am the labeling supervisor for the library I and need as soon as possible. |

The student computers in 102 will not print. We sent a test print job from 5 diff stations. No message, no print job comes out. It has done this before. Is there anything we can do? I have a 9am class Tues. |

Downstairs public computer is not running properly. This message appears each time the computer has been restarted, " Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \windows\system32\config\system ".

I'm trying to open a document(Mergent Dividend Record). When I try to open the document I get a pop up message that says: Do you want to save this file, or find a program online to open. I can open the archive documents but not the most current one. |

The file she is trying to view appears to be corrupt, or missing a file extension. It should be a PDF document. Asked Cynthia to report the problem to the provider of the document in question. |

When I opened my desktop before it opened there was an "Outlook Express Profile" box.( at least I think thats what it said" It disappeared but now everything is running slow. I don't know if this indicates a problem or not. I just thought I should report it. Thanks, April |

We were adding items to our course reserves yesterday using MilCirc. Now we we get the messages "Record r104295 is busy" and "Record r104296 is busy". The "Free Records in Use" tool will not fix the problem. |

Our network connection has been rather flakey today. It is difficult to do any work with MilCirc due to frequent resets and records that get stuck as "in use". |
