Remote Access Help

Most library electronic journals and databases are licensed for use by currently-enrolled students, faculty, and staff.

Databases and ejournals grant access based on the network (IP) address of the user.

If you are using a computer on campus you should be able to access most library resources with no logins or passwords.

If you are using a computer off campus, you will need to authenticate as a current member of the campus.

On Campus

If you are using a computer on campus you should be able to access most library resources with no logins or passwords.

If you are connecting to the campus wireless network, note that the Secure Wi-Fi networks, UARK 5G Wi-Fi and UARK 2G Wi-Fi. will provide better functionality with library resources than University of Arkansas Guest access.

If you are on campus, but using your mobile device's data network, your device will appear to us as if you are off campus. See the instructions below for off-campus access.

More about connecting from on campus.

Off Campus

If you are using a computer off the campus network, or using a mobile device on your service provider's data network, you will need to:

authenticate with our proxy server
OR
login to the campus VPN for library resources
