Welcome, Visitors!
The University Libraries cordially welcome outside visitors and researchers. It is our policy to serve anyone who walks in any of our campus libraries as best we can within the constraints of available resources. To help orient you to the Libraries, we offer you the information on this page. Groups planning a visit to Mullins Library for an instruction session tailored to a specific assignment should read the Guidelines for Visits by Non-University Groups.
Within any of the campus libraries, outside visitors may freely use any library resource —including selected electronic resources accessible through the public computers. Hours of service vary by department and branch library. To be sure that the services you need are open during your planned visit, please check Library Hours (use drop-down menu at the top to access hours for various campus libraries and library departments). Information and hours for Special Collections are also available. If you would like information about obtaining borrowing privileges, please check our policies about Library Privileges. Call the Circulation Department at (479) 575-4104 if you have questions.
Visitors are welcome to seek information and help in advance at the Reference Desk or at any service desk for answers to research questions. You may call the Reference Desk at the following toll-free number for any library-related question: (866) 818-8115 or send email to refer@uark.edu.
Feel free to take a Virtual Tour of David W. Mullins Library, the main library facility, before you arrive. You can also view our brochure, University of Arkansas Libraries, and Floor Maps of Mullins Library. An online Campus Map is also available.
Visitors may purchase a visitor’s parking permit and obtain a map of the campus at the Parking Office in the Transit and Parking Department, located at 155 Razorback Road. Information regarding obtaining a visitor’s Parking Permit is available from the Transit & Parking Department. You can contact this Department at (479) 575-7275.
