University Classes

Library instruction classes at Mullins Library are offered to University students at the request of class instructors, and as the limits of time and available librarians and classrooms permit. Please call at least one week in advance to schedule; more time is preferable.

It is important that the students have received an assignment that requires library research when they come to the library instruction class; this improves their attention to and retention of the information.

Undergraduate classes in a specific field and graduate-level classes are scheduled with the Subject Specialist Librarians. General orientation classes are scheduled by e-mail.

High School Classes

For more information about scheduling high school classes for library instruction and library research, see the Guidelines for Visits by Off-campus Groups.

Research Consultations

For individual research consultations with a librarian, contact the subject specialist librarian, call the Reference Desk at (479) 575-6645, toll-free (866) 818-8115, or e-mail refer@uark.edu. Consultations usually take an hour and are tailored to your specific research needs.

Request a research consultation.
